A learning centre for students and academics of Ormond College was to be created as part of the redesign of the MacFarland University Building. It was important to create the right acoustic environment in order to reduce excess noise.
Cleaneo Circular 12/25R panels were able to provide the necessary sound absorption for a library of this size. In addition, the precisely cut edges and the deliberately designed pattern of the panels allow a seamless design in the room, in which the joined edges are practically invisible.
The project won several prestigious awards, including awards from the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute of Architects, the Victorian Chapter of the Australian Institute and the Council of Education Facilities Planners International.
